PARKING

ROXBURY COMMUNITY COLLEGE PARKING
The two-year construction plan for the new student residence hall on MassArt's Huntington Avenue parking lot will begin in September 2000. Parking at that site will have extremely limited access. To accommodate the parking needs of faculty, students, staff, and visitors, MassArt has secured off-campus parking at Roxbury Community College (RCC). Roxbury Community College is located on Columbus Avenue just one mile from MassArt's campus. Parking is offered on a space available basis. If you cannot be accommodated at the RCC lot, you may be able to find meter parking on streets around the Huntington Avenue campus.

SHUTTLE
A free shuttle bus is available for community members and guest traveling to and from RCC, Monday through Friday from 6:45am through 11:30pm. The shuttle runs about every twenty minutes throughout the day depending upon traffic and weather conditions. Two buses are utilized during the morning and evening rush hours; all buses are handicap accessible.

COMMERCIAL PARKING
Public parking facilities around campus are reasonably convenient and hourly rates do vary.

MassArt does not validate parking. Below is a list of a few commercial-parking facilities near the MassArt campus.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Public transportation via bus or train offers a comfortable alternative. We urge everyone who can to consider commuting to the college by public transportation, as traffic congestion is a problem in the area especially during the rush hours.
