The punk-pop combo
known as Simple Plan are unquestionably one of most exuberant
and exciting outfits around today. Since getting together back
in 1998, the Montreal-based quintet – Pierre Bouvier: vocals;
Jeff Stinco: lead guitar; David Derosiers: bass, backing
vocals; Seb Lefebvre: guitar, backing vocals; Chuck Corneau:
drums – has been knocking out crowds across the Great White
North with storming gigs alongside such artists as Sum 41,
blink-182, Bif Naked, MxPx, and American Hi-Fi, as well as
hugely popular turns at festivals like Van’s Warped Tour 2001,
Edge Fest II, and Toronto’s Molson Canadian Snow Jam
spectacular.
Simple Plan's debut album, No Pad No Helmets...Just Balls
features 12 anti-anthems of adolescent alienation, each one
fit to burst with unstoppable hooks, melodic punk vocalizing,
and shout-it-out-loud choruses. "I'm Just A Kid" is the
infectious first single, also on the soundtrack for "The New
Guy"
"Being in a band
is like being married to four guys. It's worse than having a
girlfriend. Having a girlfriend is nothing compared to being
in a band," says Pierre.
With an awesome
stage presence and devoted fans, Simple Plan's simple plan is
to tour tour tour and meet as many people along the way as
possible. The band's hearts are definately with the fans. Talk
