Rooney is a five-piece rock band hailing
from Los Angeles whose music is reminiscent
of artists spanning from the sixties to the
present day. Although they have a
distinctive style, their sound has been
compared to everything from The Beatles to
The Cars to Blur. Having toured the nation
with acts such as Weezer and The Strokes,
Rooney manages to capture elements from the
past four decades and make them sound modern
today.

Was Robert Carmine formerly known as
Robert Schwartzman?
Yes. Following the change, he explained:
"I created my road; I'm not walking down
someone else's. I've set aside the acting
world for the music world. Yes, one can
research my background whether or not I call
myself Carmine, but I'm not hiding; I'm
getting off the camel's back and walking.
... Carmine is the name of my mother's
father, who was the #1 flutist in his day
and a wonderful conductor and composer. He
passed away when I was 9 so I have little
memory of him, but I feel I know him through
his music. I like having his name next to
mine, kind of like a guardian angel."
