Good Charlotte – made up of vocalist Joel and his twin brother guitarist Benji, Billy on Guitar and Paul on bass - is famous and maybe a little rich, but they want you to know they're not living the lifestyle…they are “keeping it real”. Their debut album The Young And The Hopeless was one of the top albums of 2003 and spawned the top ten hits “Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous”, “The Anthem”, “Girls And Boys” and “Hold On”.

The new Good Charlotte album The Chronicles of Life and Death which was released October 5th might as well be named the chronicles of genre hopping. They rip through everything from classic arena rock with "We Believe" to hip-hop tinged tracks like "I Just Wanna Live." “The songwriting is very different from anything we've done before. It's much darker; there are a lot of mid-tempo songs," Joel says of the new collection. But the core of the Good Charlotte sound is the same. With three million copies sold, their last effort The Young and the Hopeless was far from broke, so they kept it fixed -- and hired back producer Eric Valentine. The Alternative Press has proclaimed Good Charlotte's newest album "the Most Anticipated CD of 2004."
